- IR slots are available for players with an official Out or Doubtful designation. Players with lesser injury statuses such as Questionable are not eligible for IR.

- Injured players may not be added directly from waivers into an IR slot — they must be rostered normally first, then moved to IR.

- Waiver priority is a continual rolling list — the team that makes a successful claim moves to the bottom of the priority order.
- Waivers process every Wednesday at 3 AM EDT. Players are locked upon the start of their week's game.
